The newest blow to be struck by governments in the war to keep electronic cigarettes free as a healthier alternative to smoking tobacco, is to ban their use in public places. So far we have seen both Wales and Spain among others make this step and stop the use of E-Cigarettes in public, now France is about to make the same move. French law states that ecigs are perfectly legal to use, and in fact they've been gathering a great deal of popularity in the country, but now they're set for a ban.
It would appear that since governments are being met with vast opposition to outright bans, they have come up with this new tactic to get what they want. Already since the ban Spain has seen a decline of vapers by almost 70%. That means most those people have probably gone back to the far un-healthier tobacco. The reason is to stop e-cigs from glamorizing smoking, making others take to them when previously they hadn't smoked. Despite all the evidence to the contrary they still believe this and are now endangering lives through the liberal use of the ban.
The UK and U.S. are also considering this type of ban as well, we can only hope they see some sense before our vaping rights are challenged to.
